The IG 2019 syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international standards, such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) codes of practice. Local laws and cultural factors are also covered where relevant. The course covers is divided into 2 units :

1. IG1 - Management of health and safety (Question Paper)
2. IG2 - Risk assessment (Practical assignment)
